In Touch
Lately, I have been paying more attention to the common things I use in everyday life. Not just how they look, but how they feel. How a bowl fits into my palm. How a spoon feels in my hand and mouth. Try focusing on texture to quiet the mind and be present in the moment.
Here, my textural inspiration (get your hands on these items and you'll see what I mean):
I bought these simple and lovely bowls as a wedding gift for a friend.
These spoons were a splurge, but they make my morning yogurt feel like an indulgent ritual.
Soft to the touch and easy to wash, Simrin's cotton napkins are perfect for everyday.
I will never use my computer calendar-if I don't write something down, I just don't feel settled. These smooth Muji colored pencils make jotting down appointments fun (plus, they look great on my desk).
